Believe me, if you're not really a dessert type of man, this Old School Butter Pound Cake will have you eating all day, butter pound cake is one of them. Plus, this recipe will deliver a rich and moist cake that your taste buds will thank you, just give it a try !! 



YOU'LL NEED :


- Cake flour: 1 1/2 c 


- All-purpose flour: 1 1/2 c 


- Butter: 3 stick (unsalted softened at room temp)


- Cream cheese: 8 oz (room temperature)


- Sugar: 3 1/4 c 


- Vanilla extract: 1 1/2 tsp 


- Almond extract: 1 1/2 tsp 


- Salt: 1 tsp 


- Eggs: 6 (large)



PREPARATION :


1. Using a mixer on medium speed, beat butter and cream cheese until mixture comes together.



2. You'll swant to add sugar and extracts, beating until light and fluffy. And please reduce speed to low.



3. You can then add eggs, one at a time, alternating with flours 1/2 cup at a time until all eggs and flours are used.



4. Okay now, you may want to transfer to a buttered, oiled and floured, 10-cup shaped pan such as bundt pan.



5. Make sure to place in cold oven, then heat your oven to 325 degrees. Bake for 1 1/2 hours, or until an inserted tester comes out clean.



6. Once done, remove cake from pan and let cool on wire rack.
