Funnel cakes are a mixture between the typical American donuts and crocs. It is often found at fairs. The dough is easy to prepare and put it in a deep frying pan using a funnel. & sprinkling them with powder sugar. Guarantee climbing.
+ For this recipe, I used :
The extra thing :
+ Make powdered vanilla sugar by placing powdered sugar and vanilla in a coffee grinder
+ If there is a little clumping (which is unlikely), you can mix everything together with a hand mixer
* Ingredients:
° Sunflower oil for frying
° 300 grams of flour
° Powdered sugar
° 2 tablespoons of yeast
° 275 ml milk
° 2 eggs
* Steps :
Pour an oil bath into a large saucepan, roughly halfway through.
Warmth up to 180 ° C .
A tip to see if the oil temperature is adequate: Dip a piece of bread in the oil, it should turn brown in 30 seconds.
While the oil is heating up, mix in the flour, powdered sugar, baking powder, milk, eggs and a fine pinch of salt.
++ To get dough in a pastry bag.
When the oil is hot enough, cut off the tip of the pastry bag to make a hole approximately 1 cm wide.
Hold the nozzle firmly and gently press with your fingers to release the dough: pour it into a circle or spiral into the frying bath.
Sharply lift the tip of the nozzle to cut the dough and repeat the process.
Start with 3 donuts.
Let them cook for 1 minute on each side until golden brown and crunchy.
Using a creamer, take it out and line up on paper towels.
Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar and taste quickly: it's better hot.
Continue cooking until the dough is completely run out.
Enjoy !
