This silky smooth homemade caramel is beyond easy to make and perfect for any time, but especially fall and the holidays. The good thing about this recipe is that it’s made with only simple ingredients and comes out even better than store-bought and just plain delicious !!
I USE FOR THIS RECIPE :
– Brown Sugar: 1 cup
– Butter: 1/2 stick, about 4 Tablespoons)
– Half-and-half: 1/2 cup (Cream is also fine, but it will make it thicker)
– Vanilla: 1 Tablespoon
– Salt: a pinch
METHOD OF WORK :
STEP 1 :
Start by mixing in all ingredients in medium saucepan over medium-low to medium heat.
STEP 2 :
And please gently whisk.
STEP 3 :
Meanwhile cook until thicker, and immediately turn off heat and make sure to serve warm or refrigerate until cold.
#QUIK TIP:
* I find it very helpful to keep cooking for a few more minutes in case your sauce is thin as mine.
