SO CUTE !! Just follow the recipe as directed and you'll have a great Homemade Peanut Butter Christmas Trees that's a fabulous dessert or treat, and can even be wrapped up to give as a party favour!

INGREDIENTS:

° Smooth peanut butter: 1 cup

° Unsalted butter: ¼ cup (melted)

° Brown sugar: 2 tablespoons

° Vanilla extract: 2 teaspoons

° Salt: ¼ teaspoon

° Powdered sugar: 2 cups

° Chocolate chips: 10 to 12 oz. (chocolate chopped into small pieces is also fine, but I prefer half the semi-sweet chocolate and half the milk chocolate)

PREPARATION :

1. Using parchment paper, line an 8 x 8 inch dish. So that you can easily lift it later, it's wise to leave the paper overhanging the sides; set it aside.

2. Then you're going to get a bowl and combine in together peanut butter, melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla and salt together until the sugar dissolves. Immediately stir in the powdered sugar gradually.

3. The mixture needs to be Squeezed into the prepared dish. And please smooth the top with a spatula. I prefer to squeeze it with your palms to flatten into a layer about ½ inch thick.

4. Alright, place it in the freezer, at this time, until it is firm enough to cut.

5. With a Christmas tree cookie cutter, make sure to cut out the trees and place them on the tray. After that, place them in the freezer for approx 1 hour, or until they are completely firm.

6. After the specified time has passed, melt the chocolate and line another tray with baking paper.

7. Make sure to dip each tree in melted chocolate with a fork so to completely cover. And please pat the fork, gently, to drain the excess chocolate.

8. Since the peanut butter mixture softens very quickly at room temperature, I find it very useful to take only a few trees at a time from the freezer as it would make working with firm trees easier.

9. Place chocolate covered Christmas trees on parchment-lined platter and refrigerate until chocolate is set.

10. To finish, I store in the refrigerator or freeze for longer storage.
