Town of Bar / Montenegro

The modern town of Bar is located directly at the Adriatic sea and offers beautiful beaches. It is surrounded by Mediterranean plants and historic monuments. It is the largest touristic-nautic centre at the entrance of the Adriatic sea. The bodacious history of the town is reflected in numerous historic sights. One of the most important ones is the old town of Bar, approximately 4 km away from the coast. Old town of Bar (Stari Bar) / Montenegro

The old town of bar is the largest, urban ruin of Montenegro. The old town is located on a large rocky hill, shielded on three sides by cliffs and at the western side by a protective wall. The town hosts rests of ecclesial buildings of the mediaeval.

The location of the old town offers from the top of the fortress walls a panoramic view over green fields, the new town, the harbour, the open sea and the mountain chain Rumija.

A special attraction of the old town of Bar is the "Pjaca", the market place. Homemade products are sold by traditionally dressed vendors of the surrounding.

Town of Sutomore / Montenegro

Sutomore is one of the best known towns on the Riviera of Bar. Sutomore developed out of a fishermen's settlement, close to a long sandy beach. The church of Saint Thekla, which has two altars (one for the orthodox and one for the catholic) and the fortress Haj Nehaj are two precious monuments of past times. City of Budva / Montenegro

Budva is said to be the oldest settlement at the Adriatic sea. The old town of Budva is located on a small island which is connected with the main land by a sandbank. It is surrounded by a fortress system of town gates, protective walls and towers.

Budva is a town with tight streets, small squares and precious monuments of different Mediterranean cultures which influenced the development of the town.

Sveti Stefan / Montenegro

Formally a fishermen's village, which has been mentioned in the year 1442 for the first time, has developed in the 1960s to a world famous hotel town with comfortable villas and apartments.

According to the legend, the settlement of the tribe "Pastrovic" has been constructed in the 15th century with a conquered treasure. Then the inhabitants lived of fishing an olive growth. Just 40 years ago the hotel town welcomed its first guests. Shortly after that it received the title: one of the most exclusive holiday location of the world.
